As a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Allen will be deeply missed.Īllen’s family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Mission of the North, a group of Presbyterian Churches in Northern New Mexico. He served as an elder at the White Rock Presbyterian Church.


Al enjoyed working on his homes as well as at the homes in the small rental management business.Īl had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and served in his churches in all the towns he lived in. He enjoyed traveling to Breckenridge, CO and many other adventurous destinations around the United States with friends and family.

Al worked many Electrical Engineering jobs which included Kimberly Clark, Merrick, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.Īl enjoyed woodworking, hiking, downhill skiing, and working on his classic car. In addition to Minneapolis and Omaha, Mary and Al have lived in Alameda, CA Edmond, OK Neenah, WI and Los Alamos, NM. Shortly after moving to Oklahoma, Brian was born. They then moved to Omaha, NE where Greg and Lisa were born. Al and Mary married in 1967 and moved to Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by his sisters Ada Busby and Betty Juell (Maynard) and two nephews and a niece and their children.Īl graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI in 1964 and from University of Michigan with his Electrical Engineering Degree in 1967.

Al has two grandchildren, Elena Navarrete of San Antonio, TX and Otto Medendorp of Albuquerque, NM. Navarrete (James) of San Antonio, TX and Brian J. Medendorp (Anna) of Albuquerque, NM Lisa A. He is survived by his three children, Gregory A. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife of 54 years, Mary Medendorp. He was born Apto Henry and Annette Medendorp in Grand Haven, MI. Allen Henry Medendorp, age 78, lost his fight with pancreatic cancer in the early morning of November, 21, 2021 in Los Alamos, NM.
